The Dark Knight has very easily been one of the most successful films of the first decade of the 21st century, as finally it seems as though an iconic marvel superstar has found a fitting film. Hans Zimmer has risen alongside the Batman franchise, taking the crown as the most sought after composer of the past few years. I've never been a huge fan of Zimmer's work when listened to alone, yet his music usually seems to fit the movie quite well. The Dark Knight is no exception. Although the suspenseful songs with not much at all can be rather drawn-out and un-exciting, and many of the bombastic action-dominated songs sound pretty much the same, there is a fair share of good, enjoyable tracks that makes this, an overall, passable soundtrack.
Composer - Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard Year - 2008 Rating - 3.4/5 Genre - Modern Classical/Suspenseful/Epic Key Tracks -
Harvey Two-Face (an absolutely incredible song, makes this soundtrack worthwhile)
A Dark Knight
